Several years ago, I started The Author's Club. It soon had 150 members, a web site, and three blogs. Three years ago, I had some physical problems, and slowed down my computer activity to the point I either forgot or lost many of my login credentials and passwords. The Authors Club was forgotten. Then I had some computer problems. My 17" laptop would not update Windows 10 past 10%. Over a one year period, I tried fixing the problem, but it always stopped at 10%.

My big problem was I had fifteen books in the writing, editing, or re-editing process. All with Microsoft Word. No Windows 10, no Microsoft Word. Unfortunately, the clones didn't do well to provide Word files. I had to find a solution. The initial answer was to purchase a tablet with Windows 10, but I needed a long-term solution.

I investigated Linux, and finally settled on Mint 19.2. And I discovered Chromium, the Linux version of Google Chrome. I could do everything with Google Docs I had been doing with Word. (I have since moved all of my books to Google Docs, but I still have the Windows 10 tablet in a dire emergency.)

Now, why am I writing a blog again? I am now comfortable with Chromium and Google Docs, and I'm writing again. I remembered The Author's Club. Recently, I tried to access the WordPress account where I had The Author's Club. I was surprisingly successful.

However, when I looked at the posts, the first was posted on April 20, 2012. The last post was made on September 12, 2016. I know they are all old, but there should be something relevant to the present day. Therefore, I am going to try to resurrect The Author's Club from the ashes. I hope someone takes a look.
